Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
ATMC has set up an enterprise, which is wholly owned by the college. The enterprise designs real-life IT and IS projects for its final year students, which are mapped to the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA). The students work on digital projects in one or more of five areas of the business: sales and marketing; project management; software development; software testing and systems administration. Through this arrangement ATMC offers various opportunities to current students to help them gain experience of operating within a real business environment and develop the real-life skills and experiences that are valued by employers. Mapped to both appropriate industry-endorsed capabilities frameworks and AQF learning outcome requirements, the intent of these various WIL initiatives is to enhance the work readiness of Australian - trained graduates and add benefit to local Australian businesses across industry sectors.
