Both diplomas are taught live and assessed through real assignments on real equipment rather than final exams. Each is a genuine Year 1 qualification, with three ways to use it once you finish.

Your Diploma Counts as Year One of Your Bachelor's Degree

The diploma isn't just a certificate to hang on the wall — it carries real, recognised academic credit. Universities in Australia and the UK accept it as equivalent to a full first year of a bachelor's degree, so graduates enter straight into Year 2. English for that transfer is assessed by IELTS, which is not required to start the diploma itself.
